Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Plant Manager to provide production support related to process optimization, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, and to improve process safety. The Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support to the various station process groups to ensure safe and efficient plant operation. Design and test new equipment, processes and procedures. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for keeping production cost down through process improvement, Lean manufacturing while maintaining product quality. The Manufacturing Engineer will work with the maintenance team to ensure to keep production equipment operational.

Provide direction to operations and maintenance departments to ensure that plant equipment remains reliable. This includes both technical and financial decisions which impact the overall unit availability and cost control.
Optimize station equipment operation to meet key performance indicators
Apply technical knowledge to analyze causes of long term reliability issues, execute expense and capital projects, provide general assistance trouble shooting day-to-day issues
Conduct root cause analysis of equipment problems and provide recommendations to prevent future incidents.
Provide technical training to less experienced engineers and operators ensuring consistency in process and reliability in delivery
Ensuring manufacturing processes are in compliance with technical requirement.
Maintain strong safety and environmental compliance focus.
Execute recommendations to improve unit performance.
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize operation units.
Provide mechanical design support and execute capital projects.
Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
Thorough understanding of Manufacturing Plant processes and equipment and the inter-relationships between them.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Developed and proven critical thinking skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or any relevant engineering disciplines.
Min 5 years experience in manufacturing environment
Lean Manufacturing knowledge

PREFERRED
Experience with UHP Pump operations, servicing and maintenance
Experience with laser operations, servicing and maintenance
Experience with welding equipment reliability
Experience with robotic systems
